"I like everything about Turbo Tax, except one thing. It didn't show me how to bring information from my 2010 tax return program into my 2011 tax return program. Like my depreciation stuff from years back. Maybe you could help me out with that kind of stuff."

"After entering all of the information for each of my small tool purchases, TT kept sugesting that I claim them as an expense because each one was less than $100.00.
TT kept asking me if I wanted to do this and I kept on cheking the box yes. I thought that TT was actually doing this for me each time I clicked on the yes but It wasn't. I geuss the question was mereley a rhetorical question. I spent hours of time searching my return and asking questions on the forum trying to find out where all the information I entered went. I found out on my own several days later that the place where I should of entered it was on a page that appears if you answer yes to a question to the effect: "Did you buy any tools that last less than one year?" I never saw that page because my tools usually last for many years so I kept cheking no. The real criterea however is the cost, not the life of the tool. If TT isn't going to automatically put my information in the proper field for me then it should at least ask me the same question the same way later on when I get to the part where I am supposed to put it. Perhaps people with more tax savy would realize how obvious this all is but TT was marketed to me as making things easier, not more difficult. I feel sorry for the thousands of hard working carpenters and mechanics who have missed out on the deductions they could have claimed if TT had only asked the right questions. Do the TT folks feel any obligation to notify any of the people who may have been harmed by this? Will TT continue to proudly tell filers "Your return is correct! there are no errors! Buy TT next year! We guarantee it!"
I don't have any more time that I can spend looking for other errors. The happy feeling that I had filling out all the information, thinking how easy my taxes would be in future years using TT has been replaced with the unhappy feeling that there are probably other errors that have either cost me, or will cost me in the form of an audit. I have taken the additional time to write this in the hope that someone will actually take the time to read it and hopefully make some effort to improve next years product."

"You should not have to call turbo tax to get a unlock code to file your state taxes!! It does not recognize any credit or debit card and forces you to call customer service. THIS IS WRONG!!!!
When I called to order another state, customer service charged my credit card twice for the one state download.

This makes me want to switch tax software!!! I have used Turbo Tax for the last 5 or more years but this may be my last.."

"I used TRowePride's website to file because they advertised a lower price than from TurboTax directly. However, there was an extra charge from a bank for processing our tas return by the bank, so it ended up costing much more. Plus, I've been waiting for a month...exactly...& it appears that our return was never processed even though we received a printout from the bank used by TRowePrice. Next time, I'll just use TurboTax directly."
