"My roomate sat with me and watch me do mine with Turbo Tax . She wished she could do hers this simple. She has to many deductables to use Turbo Tax- and has to have hers prepared by a tax person.
Turbo Tax is economical and is user friendly." -

"I have used Turbo Tax for the last few years. Before my husband and I were married last year, he used another program for e-filing his taxes. He failed to print his tax return last year and when I was attempting to get his AGI figure from last year's return he was not able to even view his return. Thank goodnes Turbo Tax walked me through how to get a 2008 filing PIN for my husband so we could e-file our return this year. Otherwise, we would have had to wait for days to get this information from the IRS. The easy to use program and excellent help support makes Turbo Tax by far the best e-file program to use!"

Review of TurboTax Online Federal Free Edition 2009Pros:- Walks you right through, checks for errors, helpful hints for all the tax terms
"I have used this for 6 years and have been happy every time! The free option is great for a student but still provides all the needed help and instruction. TurboTax makes it easy and quick to complete and file- mine were finished in a few hours with all the forms ready to go. I will definitely use this again next year! I also used it to double check my state taxes against the state e-file site."

Review of TurboTax Online Federal Free Edition 2009Pros:- multiple choice questions, suggested answers, easy fill in, thorough checks for accuracy
Cons:- Prob a couple, but can't think of any
"I have used Turbo Tax for years, used to spend several dollars to have H&R Block do in a week or so, what Turbo Tax does in a few minutes and e-files with expedient reply. Unless I win the lottery (the big one), I will never use anything but Turbo Tax. Besides all that... It's FREE!! What more could ANY ONE ask for?"

Cons:- They trick you into upgrading
"I don't remember ever requesting to be upgraded to Basic, but I guess if you're a returning customer they do it automatically. If I'm gonna be paying that much money, I might as well go to H&R Block. I ended up having to create a new account to go back to Free, which I hate cause I wanted everything in one place. Oh well. Another issue is that the community only answers the stupid questions, but once you ask something difficult, nobody has any answers. I also wish they would explain all the calculations, maybe on a side link people can click if they're interested. I had some doubts and had my returns reviewed by a professional because I wasn't sure if they were correct. If TurboTax had been more forthcoming I wouldn't have had to bother."

My state income was less than $2K and I owe $8 - of course I'm not going to pay $29 to file!
