Review of TurboTax Deluxe - CD or Download 2009Cons:- Errors calculating Economic Recovery status
"After hours on the phone with Turbo Tax, IRS, Social Security, Veterans Affairs and Railroad, Turbo tax was not able to e-file my return. Of course I did get charged the e-filing fee from Turbo-Tax.
My e-file was rejected because of Error 1132, Schedule M. Does not match IRS Records. After lengthy and time consuming discussions with IRS, I was told that I would have to contact the SS, VA and RR. I did. All confirmed that I was not receiving any kind of income of any kind at any time. All asked what software I was using and all said they were getting many many calls from Turbo Tax users and that the problem lies with them. Turbo Tax of course denies it and blames it all on the IRS. Hey... why not who wouldn't believe them.
The only recourse is to send it by mail and wait the 4-6 weeks for the refund. It really is sad. $49.99 for the Turbo Tax, $19.99 for the e-filing fee all so I can snail mail it.
I'm really disappointed and will rethink my purchase next year...its too bad, I've been using TurboTax since 2001." -

"This product makes tax preparation possible for anyone! No more calls to the IRS or trips to the library to find the right forms. No more computation errors or penmanship challenges. Turbo Tax does it all for you. We have used this product for several years, and although our returns are more complicated, this product makes it possible to still do it ourselves. The changes in tax law are identified, and all potential deductions are explained. Using Turbo Tax allows you to feel competent and confident!"

Cons:- I wish I had more options for ensuring I am getting the greatest refund possible.
