If you've charged my Visa card the $19.95 state efiling fee you owe me a refuna Also I got no meaningful answer when I emailed yoursupport group.Perhaps contact with a live person might have helped."

Cons:- SOME GLICTHES IN SOME FORMS
"For Married Filing Jointly, the Turbo tax can not create 2nd form for the spouse form TD-90-22.1. When we create this form manually it gives error message.
Even in first form it can not be add more pages if the information is more or more than one page. It is really frustrating .
Also it did not copy the personal information from prior year returns??" -

Review of TurboTax Premier - CD or Download 2011Pros:- At least I know all the Calculations are Correct!
Cons:- Not much Help for Adding Schedule A-1 Data!
"This years returns were pure heck for me especially having a capital gains taxable event from Hawaii. So instead of the usual 2 returns (Federal & California), I had to complete a 3rd return for the State of Hawaii. I wish Turbo Tax had provided me a HUGE warning about not filing any returns until I completed all 3 as I ended up having to amend my California return to reflect the activity from Hawaii! Also, I didn't apprieciate that Turbo Tax sort of stronged armed me for additional funds in order complete the 3rd return. But finally I am done & can breath a big sigh of relief! When the heck is the US governrment going to simplify & streamline the whole painful process!"

Cons:- Form 1116 lack of support, Poor programming and directions, inability to efile!
"Every year I have to spend more and more time just to input data and wonder why all the questions are necessary. Specifically, I have dividends from two Canadian corporations who withhold 15% tax, and therefore I file form 1119 for a credit. These dividends are both reported on a 1099 form, and we also receive two Schedule K-'s1, one for my wife and one for me, reporting dividends from Canada. We do the 1099 first, as explained in your special instructions, and then enter the respective k-1's. We get through the review process with no errors, but then when I attempt to e-file we get a message that because I checked box A (Canada or passive income) for more than one form, and due to IRS regulations, we can not e-file, but we can print and mail our returns. I do not understand this problem and believe Turbo Tax could simplify the input procedures for the foreign tax credit on form 1119 to eliminate these type of problems!"

Review of TurboTax Premier - CD or Download 2011Pros:- Can see and understand what affects my taxes so I can better plan spending (ie. investments, contributions, etc.)
Cons:- I miss the statistical information Turbo Tax provided as part of the return review.
"Turbo tax software is a great product because you can see how you are taxed, what are allowed deductions, and what is adjusted taxable income. This is good information to have in financial planning, invaluable.
In regards to the online turbo tax product, I used last year, the program was not very user friendly, will continue to purchase the software. I would like to see Turbo add back the comparative information of how our return compares to the rest of the filers. Could this be brought back?" -

Review of TurboTax Premier - CD or Download 2011Pros:- Ease of use, fast filing, time savings, transfer of prior year data
Cons:- Can not delete limited partnerships or limited corporations
"This is the sixth year that I use Turbo Tax and I can not give enough praises for the ease of use, the e-filing and the time saved from the transfering of personal data from prior years' returns. However, the software still have some problems like if you accidentally selected the addition of a limited corporation instead of limited partnership (both of which are listed in the same selection menu), it won't let you delete the limited corporation and would come up as an error (because there is no data) in the final error review step."

Cons:- Limit of 5 e-files
"I used this program to file taxes for my family (period). You would have thought that Turbo Tax would have given me a warning that I could only transmit 5 returns and would have let me know when I reached that magic number. Now my return will be one day late and my experience with Turbo Tax is a lot less positive than it was."

Cons:- Not always clear and long wait for assist.
"*Not enough entry options for split/spinoff stock, ie: some inherited, some purchased (lucky for me it was relatively insignificant amount of 8 shares, so not overly concerned).
*Some unclear redundancy: 8 total shares, 8 whole shares, 8 fractional shares....I only had 8 shares.
Long wait: 1 hour for chat assist...but my own fault as last minute." -
