"PTP's are a royal pain for Form 1041 filers--there is no assistance available--even the partnerships, that try to assist form 1040 users, don't help in this area. Please provide some help other than "you're on your own.""
"Overall a little bit more difficult than anticipated but I was able to do most of it on my own. 'Very user friendly, (not very good with comp) The best part: accessibility of support when I needed help. Called and got a person right away, not on hold, no menus to get through."
"I have trouble navigating between step-by-step & forms, especially after partially completely & then going back."
"T-Tax is great as usual. It is much better than other ones."
"Paid H&R over $1000 for just some of the work I was able to get done for three companies in one night. Fantastic!"
"I've been an Intuit customer since 1998 and I'm DONE. Never again to use TurboTax! Why? TT is owned by the same company as Quickbooks - TT business states that it accepts QB 2004 and newer. I have 06 and for the past 2 years I've had to MANUALLY enter my full coroportation Business taxes into TT. I went thru EVERY online suggestion from both products, called support (which I knew more about the download process than they did!). My experience with TT support process was a nightmare! I went online filled out the drill down questions, tried all suggestions, finally got to an claim number and phone number. I called it but it was to TT personal, (after explaining the problem they transfered me, (India?) I again provided personal info, and the problem, and was then transfered to TTB technical support, I explained the problem and in the process was hung up on. by now I'm pretty mad. I call again and ask for a supervisor (India?) and they were NO help at all and told me this was a quickbooks problem and that there was nothing they could do further (and they didn't even know about the online suggestions - they were no help). I called QB support and went straight to a supervisor knowing they'd plead ignorance of Turbo taxes import process. (which they did). they said it was a turbo tax problem and suggested I repair QB, and even reinstall it. this total time calling and getting no where with Intuit took over 1 1/2 hours. 7 different calls, and explaining the problem 5 seperate times. After 2 repairs and 1 full reinstall - QB ran fine but I was not able to import to TT. By now I waved the white flag and decided that for the 2nd year in a row the import process is not compatible with its own company software??? I could not even IMPORT their own sample company files!!!! that came with QB. So I manually had to map all my profit and loss and balance sheet data into (hopefully) the correct line items - this took me several hours. be prepared - they'll Charge you $54 for the state return on top of the $99 I already paid for the TT Business. Tell me know a company can have such a pathetic support process and products that don't communicate with each other?? I bought QB and TT specifically to gain the file transfer process - so if I have to enter it manually anyway - I'm going somewhere else next year. I'm sure Microsoft has a successful solution... I don't doubt that they can import from Quickbooks!
save yourself the grief - Buy something else - they didn't earn my business, loyalty or confidence.
FYI - I'm the President of a small Golf product manufacturing company."

"The software is great and would be the ultimate solution for a small business looking to save on expensive CPA fees for doing simple business returns.
It does rentals and depreciation, etc. perfectly and easily.
The only difficulty I saw and where there seemed to be more questions was when you can't import from older Qbooks (forced obselescence) versions, it was hard to get the retained earnings, loan from shareholders, and those types of numbers to make sense."
"I would have easily given it 5 Stars had it not been for the PDF Conversion Center nightmare. I noticed in the online Forums there were a lot of issues with this. I contacted customer support 3 times & still no resolution. I ended up finding my own PDF converter & did it myself. Not a show stopper by any means, but the extra 4 hours it took to resolve this (on my own) left the experience a little weak. I was absolutely THRILLED to that point. I would still highly recommend the product, but save yourself time and either paper file or find your own PDF converter online for free (or have a scanner available while doing your taxes). 5 Stars if that little glitch was solved. 4 Stars is still pretty darn good though!!!!"
