"THE SIGN IN PAGE IS NOT CLEAR AS IT GIVES YOU THE OPTIONS OF CHOOSE A PRODUCT, SIGN IN, OR REGISTER.
REGISTER IF YOU HAVE NEVER USED TURBO TAX BEFORE NOTING YOUR ID AND PASSWORD.
IF YOU HAVE USED TURBO TAX IN YEARS BEFORE AND WANT THAT DATA TRANSFERRED TO YOUR NEW TAX RETURN YOU SHOULD FIRST PICK A PRODUCT TO USE, AND THEN SIGN IN USING USER ID AND PASSWORD USED IN PASS YEARS .
IF YOU ARE CONTINUING A RETURN THEN JUST SIGN IN.

"Overall, this is a very good program which makes preparing your tax return as easy as possible. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to sit down with their own tax records and compile their personal return. As a matter of fact, I believe an individual can identify and claim itemized deductions much more efficiently and thoroughly than if they turned their paperwork over to a CPA. I don't believe most CPA's take the time to communicate important information to clients."

"Evidently there is computer program issues in TurboTax. I had a few errors identified by error checking process. However, after I cleared up the areas that need to be fixed, the errors constantly came back and asked me to fix the same errors again and again, otherwise, I won't be able to submit efile. That is very frustration. And evidently, the error checking has problems to keep up with the information while the corrections have been made.
This issue needs to be addressed quick and thoroughly, otherwise, people won't be happy to use this again."

Pros: Clear instructions. Great downloading. It's Deductible is very helpful.
Cons: Cannot ask Turbo Tax questions about functionality problems. Unresponsive. Geared to tax questions only.
"I basically like TT a lot. It is clear and complete. But when it has a functionality problem or the question is confusing or its answer does not work out right, you are hopeless. You also have to know that other things than dividends and capital gains are being downloaded from your financial entity or you will enter them twice. Like tax-exempt or foreign taxes.
Much better explaining other taxes now.
Biggest problem I had was when broker broke sale into two identical sales and TT saw them as duplicates. Even when I answered NO -- a million times - - it refused to accept the answer and said I had to file by mail. It asked if the two were duplicates and I said NO but it still would not accept my answer."

"Very frustrating trying to correct obvious mistakes caused by picking up data from a prior year or miscomputing the taxes. TurboTax says my tax on 31,238 0f taxable income is only 513 before credits!"

"I have used Turbotax online for 4 years and am a real believer. I have a medium complex form (house, kids, investments, self--employed for part of year) and feel confident that I'm getting as good a return as with a preparer. A fist pass through gets the basics, and TT makes it easy to return to a topic to elaborate or change. There is excellent help available -- I used the Deluxe version and didn't need more than that -- and the navigation is some of the best I've seen. The ability to have forms pre-populated (and carryovers remembered) makes me return each year. Best Software as a Service that I know of."
