Program does not let you see the forms as they are being filled out. Being able to see the filled out forms would allow you to compare what if situations. ie contribute to an IRA or itemize or not."

"The clean layout and fairly simple questions work well for users with simple returns, however a few UI tweaks could be beneficial.
When walking through questions, there should most likely be some sort of tree showing the user where they are in the process. I seem to recall this being done better in last year’s version.
Some of the walkthrough questions automatically add forms, even if the forms do not apply. There were some sections I should have skipped, but did not just so I could clear the little 'not visited' text from the section summary. Even though some of these did not apply, one or two did not have an introductory question checking for applicability and added forms which I had to manually delete out at the end (the error checker did throw flags for these forms - to its credit)."

"Turbo Tax easily addresses the basic items and passes basic information along to future filings. This makes things much easier. However, as you get into anything more complex than simple filings, for example, K-1s, etc., you still need to have some knowledge about what it is your are trying to do. You have to understand the terminology. Turbo Tax doesn't and can't make the more complex stuff idiot proof but it does provide some info to help you along. Most of the time it is helpful but sometimes you may still have to do some more research."

"I have this horrible feeling I missed certain questions. I don't ever remember seeing an area to enter my W-2 information. How crazy is that??
I decided to use TurboTax because I now have an HSA and it is a pain to figure that stuff out. I thought this would simplify it all. It didn't."
