"The federal portion is excellent, providing additional information on every expense and deduction with the click of a mouse. State returns, MN and MD used, did not offer the same level of detail with a mouse click. Although accurate they did not provide information on each deduction and income catagory."

"This is very friendly software. I have vista and Mozilla Firefox...and let's face it there are some glitches in both of those applications. On two occasions my Firefox locked up and both times..turbotax independently saved my progress and I was able to start up right where my computer decided that I was leaving off. As far as deductions go...unless you're a tax lawyer, you wouldn't even know about 50% of the deductions I ended up being eligible for at the end. Great Product...and improves every years...Customer since 2001"

"Once you gather and enter all the information (can take a lot of time) the prompts and guides are very nice and seem trustworthy. TT's completion of necessary tax forms is great. Not much prompting before the end about any underpayment penalties, procedures though."

"Adding necessary info to fund entries is extremely difficult and frustrating. For example: Classifying Long Term and Short Term Capital Gains is not always successful because where it says "click" to enter L or S, no visible sign indicates that I have entered a letter. The TurboTax automatic choice of L or S is not always the same as shown in the bank quarterly report. Also the fund descriptions are so faint they can hardly be identified. There is much room for further simplifying TurboTax."

"The first time through with the online version, I had 3 or 4 options for how I wanted the Payment Vouchers for next year printed, e.g., with dollar amounts filled in or left out. Before filing my return I printed it out to take a look. I decided to change the dollar amounts for the printed vouchers, but cound not return, make this change, and print out new vouchers. Ugn."

"If you have a basic understanding of filing and nothing extremely complicated, this program is a tremendous value. I would recommend the CD version over the online version, because you can import Quicken data on the CD version but not online (at least I was not able to). That's a problem if you have a 97-page 1099 from your broker like I did (I ended up summarizing the data, hope that was legal, gulp!). Otherwise the program is intuitive and pretty straightforward to use."

"Overall, very satisfied. Spent too much time tryuing to rectify a very minor glitch on a stock sale. It would have been nice to avoid the problem by inputing a reason and then move on. Spent more time trying to rectify a .001 discrepancy than doing the whole return."
